Trick to speed up Mozilla Firefox web browser by Secret Config settings

speedup firefox

We already have made an article on the "Opera Mini Hidden Secret Config Settings" in the last month.
Now we are going to explain about such Secret config settings acces in mozilla firefox. from which we can alter browser admin settings and increase browser speed.

Open your Mozilla firefox and enter about:config in the address bar of the firefox , with which you get admin access to the config settings of the browser.
Make the following changes in the config settings and make your firefox load faster than before from which you can surf 25% faster than before.

network.http.max-connections-per-server =32
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy =16
network.http.max-connections = 64
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server = 10
network.http.pipelining = true
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests = 200
network.http.request.max-start-delay = 0
network.http.proxy.pipelining = true
network.http.proxy.version = 1.0

After this right click inside the config window and select "New integer". name it as nglayout.initialpaint.delay and set the value to 0. This value stands for the amount of time the browser waits before it reacts for the information it recieves. You can also speed up firefox by changing the number of days history to be stored in firefox.

Thanks for these. I'm trying it right now. I'll see if I feel the changes.

Uhm, I'm quite new to Ubuntu 11.04 and to Linux altogether. Could you help me, pls.? I'd like to know how to install the Nightly Build of Minefield 6.0a1 in Natty but I don't know how to install from a .tar.bz2 archive. Thanks.
